Emma Tetewsky, age 31, was reported missing by her family on Tuesday, June 27 after not seeing her since around noon on Monday, June 26, according to the Stoughton Police Department.

Police activated a search and rescue unit to search for her on Wednesday, June 28.

Tetewsky, who may also go by the name Fraidl Emmet, was seen by residents on Monday evening in the Lakewood Drive area near Pinewood Pond, also known as Harrison’s Pond.

A possible sighting occurred on Wednesday afternoon, near the Massapoag Trail by Ames Street in Sharon.

Police believe she is still in the area because she does not have a car or cell phone.

Residents in Stoughton, Sharon, Easton, and Canton are asked to check their property in any areas where someone may seek shelter, including garages, outbuildings, sheds, and under canoes or kayaks.

Residents and businesses in those areas are asked to check any camera footage for sightings of Tetewsky between Sunday, June 25, and today.

Stoughton Police called on the Metropolitan Law Enforcement Council Search and Rescue Unit to help find Tetewsky, which is using drones and boats to aid in the search.

The 5-foot-3, 120-pound woman has a history of mental health issues, police say.

Police say she may be wearing a light-colored, possibly blue, long-sleeved shirt, cropped leggings, and Birkenstock-style sandals.

The Norfolk County Sheriff's Department, the Stoughton Fire Department, and the Quincy Police Department are aiding in the search.

Tetewsky lives in the Mill Street area of Stoughton and is known to spend time at Pinewood Pond in Stoughton and Lake Massapoag in Sharon.

Tetewsky is known to pray in the woods.

Police ask that anyone who sees Tetewsky or who has information about her disappearance call (781) 344-2424.
